The Employment Pass (EP) is issued by Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower (MOM) to foreign professionals, managers, executives, and highly skilled workers employed by a Singapore-registered company. Since the EP must be company-sponsored, only a local employer can apply on behalf of the candidate.

Validity and Renewal

-An Employment Pass is typically valid for up to 2 years
-Renewals are subject to MOM approval but generally have a high success rate if employment continues and salary thresholds are met

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for an Employment Pass, applicants must:

  • Have a confirmed job offer in Singapore
  • Hold a managerial, executive, or specialist role
  • Earn a minimum monthly salary of S$3,600 (higher salaries increase approval chances)
